Prices and adoption conditions
Choosing the right cattery for your future kitten is a key step in your adoption journey.
It’s important not to base your decision solely on price — many other factors should be taken into account during your search. When you welcome a new member into your family, you are also choosing a trusted breeder, a valuable resource for guidance and support after adoption.
That’s why it’s essential to carefully review the conditions and inclusions related to adoption before making your choice. To help you, we invite you to read our blog article dedicated to the essential criteria to consider when choosing your kitten.
Because the Maine Coon is a purebred cat, adoption fees can vary depending on the rarity of the bloodlines and colors. Prices also differ from one cattery to another, as each operates differently. To learn more about these costs, we recommend reading our detailed article on the subject.
At Les Aristocoons, the price of a kitten ranges from $2,500 to $3,500, depending on its color and pedigree. Specific prices are provided when kittens are presented, starting at 8 weeks of age.
This amount includes far more than just the kitten itself — below, you’ll find all the details of what’s included with every adoption.

Adoption Process
Adoption Process
To ensure that every adoption goes smoothly, we have established a simple and structured process that applies to each of our kittens.
1. Initial Veterinary Visit
All our kittens must be examined by a veterinarian before they can be reserved.
This first visit takes place around 9 weeks of age.
2. Priority Offer to Families on the Waiting List
Once their good health is confirmed by our veterinarian, kittens are first offered to families already registered on our waiting list.
3. Meeting and Confirmation of Choice
Families who fall in love with a kitten are invited to meet the kitten in person, by appointment.
4. Kitten Reservation
Once the choice is confirmed, a 50% deposit (in cash) is required at the time of the visit to validate the reservation.
5. Availability of Unreserved Kittens
If some kittens remain unreserved, they will be listed as “available” on our website and social media.
6. Updates Before Departure
Once all kittens are reserved, we regularly share photos and updates with their future families while they wait for their new companion to come home.
7. Second Veterinary Visit and Departure Confirmation
All kittens receive a second vet visit for their vaccine booster, and the date for sterilization is confirmed.
At this time, we will announce the expected date of departure for each kitten.
Kitten Pickup
Appointment Scheduling
Each family will be contacted to schedule an appointment to pick up their kitten.
Mandatory Conditions on Pickup Day
When picking up their kitten, families must:
-
Pay the final balance in cash.
-
Bring a suitable and secure carrier.
If any of these conditions are not met, the kitten will not be released, and a new appointment will need to be scheduled.
Missed Appointments
If a family fails to show up at the scheduled time, they will have 24 hours to contact us and arrange a new date.
If we receive no communication within this period, the kitten will be made available again for adoption.
All deposits and payments already made will be retained by Les Aristocoons.
Reservation Cancellation
In case of absence at the second appointment or failure to meet the required conditions (missing payment or carrier), the reservation will be cancelled, and the kitten will be offered again for adoption.
All deposits and payments made will be kept by Les Aristocoons.
